Chicago – West Loop – Central Loft District
So in 1871, the first “Great Chicago Fire” was started allegedly by Mrs. O’Leary’s cow kicking over a lantern but now we believe there’s a second “Great Chicago Fire” happening here and we put this one’s blame on Stephanie Izzard and her “Girl & The Goat” – sorry Stephanie, but it’s true, and we all thank you for igniting this area up! With “Restaurant Row” on Randolph, you can find an industrial brick or a newly constructed modern loft just to the south. This area has become the idyllic place to be and be seen with some of the cities best outdoor cafes, micro-breweries, parks and fitness centers. Oh, and by the way, you can just walk (or crawl) to work…uh-huh!
